As an instructor for a local HVAC Training Center I have seen literally hundreds on young men (and a few older ones, even a young lady) change their lives by changing their career paths. You see, almost all of these individuals were cut from the same cloth. Please bare with me while I explain. These folks did not do really well in the traditional education system. School just wasn’t their thing. Most of them barely graduated high school, if they graduated at all.
College was not an option, even for the ones that managed to pass high school. Even with the proding from counselors, and even family members, of the importance of getting a “good education”, it just wasn’t going to happen. You see most high school counselors only know the one path to success, the path that they, and all of their friends, chose. Fortunately, these fine people did not give up and found something that they were really good at, and loved to do. Now, with some schooling that they actually excel at, they have created their own, successful, career path. They are serving a very valuable and productive role in our society, they are air conditioning and heating technicians.
