Teh Dakar rally is taking place in south america for the 4th consecutive time in its history and will be ending in Lima, Peru. The race started in Argentina and is making its way through Chile; riders will then enter Peru from the south and have different legs before finally reaching the Peruvian capital city. The race will go from Arequipa to Nazca, then Nazca to Pisco and finally Pisco to Lima where the award ceremony will evcentually take place. This will bring a large flux of tourism to Peru in the beggining of this 2012, about 1.5 million visitors should be arriving in Peru. Travel agencies are already on top of all this and are getting everything ready to greet the travelers. Special Peru tours and travel packages are being tailored so that the reace enthusiasts can get to see the country and expereince all it has to offer in the breif 4 days they will be staing in Peru.
